JFEC is dedicated to supporting mental well-being, particularly among young Black males, by creating inclusive spaces for connection, education, and growth.
AboutUs
JFEC was established as a living legacy to Jaden Francois-Esprit, who we lost in August 2020. In response to this tragedy, JFEC has grown into a community that promotes mental well-being and inclusivity.
Driven by the belief that many interconnected factors impact mental health, we work to highlight how challenges like workplace bullying and discrimination can affect a person's well-being. We are committed to building awareness and creating safe, compassionate spaces for all through education, support, and empowerment.

The transformative impact of our annual intergenerational event inspired us to formalize our efforts, and we are proud to now serve as a Community Interest Company. Our work continues as we honor Jaden’s memory by fostering community understanding, connection, and resilience.

FUND RAISING EVENT
In 2023, three friends—including Jaden’s mum, Linda—took on the challenge of climbing Mount Snowdon to raise funds for JFEC’s annual community event. Fueled by determination, Linda and her team successfully reached the summit, helping to keep our event affordable for all. Inspired by this success, Linda rallied a group to climb Ben Nevis in 2024 and achieved yet another milestone in support of JFEC’s mission.

In 2025, we plan to embark on an international hike designed for those who have experienced loss, offering a chance to connect and heal in nature. Join us, or get involved by hosting a physical activity event—one of JFEC’s key pillars—or collaborating with us to make a lasting impact.

Our work is powered by community and the generosity of supporters. If you’re able to donate, every contribution helps sustain our mission. Together, we can continue building Jaden’s legacy and creating positive change.
